Allgaier Ultrasonic Mesh CleaningA precisely matched system consisting of a modern screening machine with integrated ultrasonics, helps you to improve the economics of your screening process.  Allgaier’s combination of screening and ultrasonic technology open the way to new solutions in the sector of ultra-fine screening with mesh sizes down to 20µm.  With the aid of Allgaier ultrasonics, it is possible to overcome the high adhesive forces between the particles.  Allgaier opens the way to higher throughput and screening efficiency, even for materials which are difficult to screen.

Typical applications:

Metallurgy:
Screening of zinc powder at 50 µm at a capacity of 1,000 kg/h *m2.
Food:
Fractionation of rice meal at 80–160 µm at a capacity of 700 kg/h *m2.
Screening of starch at 250 µm at a capacity of 5,000 kg/h *m2.
Chemicals:
Removal of dust from EPS at 400 µm at a capacity of 1,500 kg/h *m2.
Removal of dust from CMC at 90 µm at a capacity of 250 kg/h *m2.
Stone and ore:
Screening of gypsum at 200 µm at a capacity of 500 kg/h *m2.
Screening of quartz sand at 130 µm at a capacity of 3,000 kg/h *m2.
Screening of enamel powder at 80 µm at a capacity of 1,000 kg/h*m2.
Powder coatings:
Screening of coating powder at 80 µm at a capacity of 700 kg/h *m2.
Pharmaceuticals:
Screening of cough mixture powder at 400 µm at a capacity of 600 kg/h *m2.

Allgaier Ultrasonic Controller
In detail:
During the mechanical separation of fine grained products, the adhesive forces between the particles are higher than the inertia forces.  The acceleration resulting from the motion of the screening machine is not sufficient to overcome the Van der Waals forces between the particles.  Dust accumulates on the wire of the mesh cloth and the screen becomes blocked.

The Allgaier ultrasonic cleaning system overcomes these forces.  Accelerations up to 15000 g are applied directly to the mesh cloth, from which they are transferred to the particles.  This prevents blockage of the mesh cloth and permits the screening of difficult products without damaging or heating them.
