Bulk Solids Sampling: M&W Samplers – FPMX
M&W’s FPMX is a Chute Sampler/Mixing Vessel combination for preparing mean samples of free-flowing materials from closed pipe systems.
Inside the sampler body a cutter (rotating on the vertical axis) passes through the material flow. Its design ensures the full cross section of material flow is sliced through during one rotation so that all particles from any area of the cross section have the same probability of being sampled – hence you get a truly representative sample of the material flow.
The samples collected drop down a chute into the mixing vessel beneath where they are blended together.
The unit is driven by a combined geared motor/V-belt drive. When idle the sampler cutter is parked out of the material stream. An observation window is provided on top of the sampler body.
