M&W’s FP Chute Sampler can extract incremental samples of free-flowing materials from closed pipe systems.
Inside the sampler body a cutter (rotating on the vertical axis) passes through the material flow. Its design ensures the full cross section of material flow is sliced through during one rotation so that all particles from any area of the cross section have the same probability of being sampled – hence you get a truly representative sample of the material flow.
The sample collected drops down a chute into a sample receiver bottle or sample preparation system.
The unit is driven by a combined geared motor/V-belt drive. When idle the sampler cutter is parked out of the material stream. An observation window is provided on top of the sampler body.
